Zacatecas Festival, International Folklore
On August’s first week the Zacatecas Festival takes place, Folkloric Dancers from all around the world come to Zacatecas, showing us a little of their country’s art performances.
Zacatecas Cultural Festival
It’s a festival plenty of cultural events that takes place in spring break vacation and is carried out in theaters, alleys, squares and streets of Zacatecas.
Zacatecan Alley Parade
Zacatecan Tamborazo is a musical parade that takes place at night through the streets and alleys of the city’s downtown, people gather around the band, that begins the night party with melodies of the region. Previously they give all the participants a little jar that has a string attached to one’s “ear”, and on each “break” the staff of the band gives away mine’s mezcal (alcoholic drink similar to tequila).
Cable Car
You will enjoy a magnificent panoramic of the city through the crystals of the cable car, and it is also the most attractive option that takes you to the Bufa’s hill.
Bufa’s Hill (Pig’s Bladder)
It’s located at an altitude of 2,657 meters; this mountain was the site for fractions of the zacatecan tribes (The name of Zacatecas was inherited from these tribes).
Eden Mine
This original tourist center is opened to the public in 1975, alter making several changes to adapt it, the mine is now another attractive of this colonial city.
